Six amazing Atrisco Heritage Academy High School art students had work selected for the HIGHLY competitive 2018 Young Artists Exhibition at the UNM Masley Gallery!

They are senior Aida Perez, juniors Christopher Garcia, John Materum, Alan Paz and Daisy Rodriguez plus freshmen Teresa Romero.

Jessica Krichels, Art 1, Drawing and Painting I & II  teacher said, "I am thrilled that some of the advanced art students at Atrisco are being recognized in this highly selective exhibition! They are capable of making top notch art, with skill and heart."

Over 250 pieces were submitted and 85 were selected from all over the state!  We are very proud of our six entries!  Three, Perez, Garcia and Romero, will be receiving awards as well in their categories!

"We have very driven students," said Fine Arts Department Chair Leha Caruso, "who should be commended for their determination in submitting their work and in its creation. Our community is very supportive and goes to the art shows to show their support of our talented art students."

The reception and awards ceremony will be held on December 6th from 6PM-8PM!  The work will be displayed through November until December 6th.
