Grad Requirements

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENT.

Current graduation requirements are listed on either the APS (www.aps.edu) or PED (www.ped.state.nm.us) websites.  The community can access these; students and parents may contact counselors for specific questions.

In order to receive a high school diploma, Albuquerque Public Schools students in the Class of 2013 and beyond must earn 25 credits and pass the New Mexico Standards Based Assessment. The SBA will serve as the high school exit exam for the first time this year, replacing the New Mexico High School Competency Exam.

**In addition, students must take one unit of Advance Placement, honors, dual credit or distance learning and one unit in one of the following: career cluster course, work place readiness, or a language other than English as two of the 25 credits required for graduation.
