AHA Freshman Academy

Atrisco Heritage Academy, there has been a general feeling that our freshmen have been struggling with the transition from middle school to high school. We have found that over the past two years freshmen have accounted for more failing grades and behavior incidents than any other grade.

Every incoming freshman at Atrisco Heritage Academy will be prepared to enter any of the Career Academies that are Available. Each Student will be successful during all four years of their high school career.

  • Graduate all incoming freshmen in four years.
  • Work with Feeder Middle Schools to make the transition to high school a smooth process.
  • Reduce the number of behavior issues and D and F grades at the freshmen level.
  • Teach the skills students need to be successful in high school and life after graduation (i.e. study skills and organizational skills).
