International Business, Marketing, and Language Academy

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS, MARKETING AND LANGUAGES ACADEMY

Valerie Hoose – Academy Head

Our vision is to promote a literate and educated populace for the 21st Century.  We believe that we can change the academic perception in the surrounding community and our emphasis is on creating life-long learners who can gather evidence to support their ideas and articulate their findings in a clear and concise manner, to contribute to the greater community, and to fulfill their dreams.  We believe all of this is possible through rigorous coursework and hands-on activities in robust programs such as DECA and Culinary Arts.

The academy provides opportunities for the business leaders of tomorrow to achieve a high-quality, high-value education that enables them to succeed in a competitive market. Emphasis is placed on hands-on experiences and conducting real-world research and community projects. The curriculum includes business concepts such as accounting, business law, management, marketing and sales, and culinary arts.  Skills related to the application of these concepts are developed through the study of computer applications, communications, team building and decision-making.

We understand all businesses and companies want self-motivated employees with strong math, language and critical thinking skills.  In an effort to ensure that our graduating classes are employable, we take our core classes very seriously and expect students to solve problems, write papers and perform mathematical calculations in the elective courses offered by the academy.
